founded in 1994 by some of inhabitants of the village passionate for cinema. The association of the Film Festival of Lama, non-profit-making, had as main objective the organization of the Film festival of Lama.

This festival is different from the others

, it is the cinema of the countryside, in the countryside. It has as for main topic rurality,outdoor for setting . Films come in the majority from countries of the European Union: about twenty full-length films, unpublished, in prerelease or rarely broadcasted, a competition of short films, of documentaries, a look on Corsican production, a focus on a personality of the cinema (Claude Chabrol in 2004) …

The festival is also programations for children, round tables, conferences, professional meetings, musical animations.... and conviviality

There are three screening sites open-air: " The swimming pool " 700 seats in the heart of the countryside between heaven and earth, "L' Ombria" 150 seats, a little place encircled with houses, "Le Mercatu" 100 seats, right in the center of the village, and a small room indoor, the village hall. For symposiums and conferences, the Festival establishes in "Le Stallo", ancient superb stables remarkably restored .
